VAL-006
Number of accountability forums conducted between rights-holders and duty-bearers
Definition and Methodology
Human-rights based approach: Accountability and the rule of law
This indicator measures the total number of structured events or mechanisms conducted that enable rights-holders (especially from affected communities) to question, provide feedback to, or demand explanations from duty-bearers (e.g., public officials, service providers) about the planning, implementation, or outcomes of policies and programmes. These forums promote transparency, participation, and responsiveness within a human rights-based approach. Examples of accountability forums include social audits, public hearings, community scorecards, and citizen juries.
