Number of co-authored publications with cross-disciplinary or cross-sector collaborations
Definition and Methodology
This indicator measures the total number of co-authored publications or reports with cross-disciplinary or cross-sector collaborations. This counts all written outputs (e.g. reports, articles, policy briefs) co-authored by contributors from different disciplines (e.g., sociology and public health) or sectors (e.g. academia, CSOs, government). Unlike for the indicator "Number of joint, peer-reviewed, scientific publications submitted", these do not have to be peer-reviewed or scientific to count towards this indicator.
To avoid duplication, count a publication only once— under the indicator "Number of joint, peer-reviewed, scientific publications submitted" it meets the criteria (peer-reviewed, scientific, submitted). If it’s broader (e.g. co-authored policy report), count it only under the indicator "Number of co-authored publications with cross-disciplinary or cross-sector collaborations". Use a tracking sheet with both indicators to classify each output clearly.
