Number of new or improved legal services supported by the Grants
Definition and Methodology
Total number of newly established or significantly enhanced legal services supported by the Grants, reflecting their impact on improving access to justice, legal innovation, and service quality.
New legal services are defined as completely new legal assistance programmes, platforms, or initiatives that were not previously available. Examples include: free legal aid clinics, online legal advice platforms, mediation or arbitration services, legal literacy and awareness programmes.
Improved legal services refer to existing legal services that have been significantly enhanced in terms of accessibility, efficiency, technology, or scope. Examples include: digitalization of legal processes, expansion of legal aid networks, enhanced cybersecurity and data protection services for businesses, and specialised legal support for individuals in marginalised situations.
To count towards this indicator, the services must be operational and accessible to users. Improvements must be substantial, not minor updates.
