Number of buildings with improved energy efficiency
Definition and Methodology
The total number of buildings that have achieved measurable improvements in energy efficiency with Grants' support.
Energy efficiency improvements include but is not limited to:
a. Building envelope upgrades (e.g., improved insulation, energy-efficient windows, roofing)
b. HVAC and lighting system upgrades (e.g., high-efficiency heating, cooling, ventilation, LED lighting)
c. Renewable energy integration (e.g., solar panels, geothermal heating, battery storage)
d. Energy management systems (e.g., smart meters, automation, real-time monitoring)
e. Behavioral and operational improvements (e.g., energy audits, occupant training, optimization of energy use)
Improvements should be assessed based on verified reductions in energy consumption, enhanced building performance metrics, third-party certifications or adherence to national energy efficiency standards.
