GRE-004
Amount of hydropower energy capacity installed (MW)
Definition and Methodology
Total megawatt (MW) capacity of hydropower energy systems installed with Grants' support.
This includes capacity from:
a. Large-scale hydropower plants (e.g., reservoir-based, run-of-river systems)
b. Small and micro-hydropower installations
c. Upgrades or expansions of existing hydropower facilities (e.g., efficiency improvements, turbine replacements)
Capacity is measured in megawatts (MW) and typically refers to the nameplate capacity—the maximum rated output of the installed hydropower system under optimal conditions.
