Definition and Methodology
The total megawatt (MW) capacity of geothermal energy systems installed with Grants' support.
This includes capacity from:
a. Geothermal power plants (e.g., flash steam, dry steam, binary cycle)
b. Geothermal heating and cooling systems (if measured in MW thermal)
c. Upgrades or expansions of existing geothermal infrastructure
Capacity is measured in megawatts (MW) and typically refers to the nameplate capacity—the maximum rated output under optimal operating conditions.
