GRE-002
Amount of solar energy capacity installed (MW)
Definition and Methodology
Total megawatt (MW) capacity of solar energy systems installed with Grants' support.
This includes capacity from:
a. Photovoltaic (PV) systems (e.g., rooftop, ground-mounted, floating solar)
b. Concentrated solar power (CSP) plants
c. Hybrid solar installations (e.g., solar-storage, solar-wind systems)
d. Upgrades or expansions of existing solar energy systems
Capacity is measured in megawatts (MW) and typically refers to the nameplate capacity—the maximum rated output under standard test conditions. Data sources may include project reports, government registries, energy agencies, or industry certifications.
