GRE-001
Amount of wind energy capacity installed (MW)
Definition and Methodology
Total megawatt (MW) capacity of wind energy systems installed with Grants' support. This includes capacity from:
a. Onshore and offshore wind farms
b. Newly constructed wind turbines
c. Upgrades or expansions of existing wind energy systems
This indicator tracks both grid-connected systems and small-scale/off-grid installations.
Capacity is measured in megawatts (MW) and typically refers to the nameplate capacity—the maximum rated output of the installed turbines under optimal conditions. Data may be sourced from project reports, government registries, energy agencies, or industry certifications.
