Total number of new or enhanced shelters or centers established or upgraded with Grants' support to assist a specified category of people (e.g., victims of domestic and gender-based violence, asylum-seekers, children, etc.). These service centres provide safe accommodation, essential services, or targeted support to meet the needs of the identified population. The facilities can be newly constructed or established to address unmet needs for the specified group or can be upgraded or expanded to enhance capacity, quality of services, or safety standards. To count towards this indicator, they need to be operational.

This indicator can be customised by target group, such as:

Number of new or improved shelters/centres for victims of domestic violence

Number of new or improved shelters/centres for asylum seekers, including unaccompanied children

Facilities like offices and training centres do NOT count towards this indicator as another indicator measures these.
