Annual number of cases of domestic and gender-based violence (DGBV) formally investigated in the supported areas
Definition and Methodology
Total number of domestic and gender-based violence (DGBV) cases that have been formally investigated by competent authorities (e.g., police, public prosecutors, or designated investigative bodies) in the areas receiving Grants’ support. An "investigated" case refers to a situation where formal steps were taken to collect evidence, interview involved parties, and build a case record following the official reporting of the incident.Tracking this indicator helps assess the efficiency, accessibility, and accountability of investigative mechanisms in dealing with DGBV.
This indicator tracks cases investigated within a single calendar year, ensuring consistency and comparability over time. Given that the unit of measurement is 'annual number', this indicator requires a baseline value.
If your programme targets women, consider making this indicator gender-specific. If not, this indicator should be disaggregated by self-reported gender (in non-binary terms): female / male / other / prefer not to say. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
