CUL-011

Number of independent artist groups supported

Low Cumulative number Customizable

Definition and Methodology

Total number of independent artist collectives, associations, or collaborative groups—consisting of more than one artist—that have received Grants' support. "Independent" refers to groups that operate autonomously, without permanent affiliation to public or state cultural institutions, and are typically self-organised, project-based, or community-led.

Supported groups may include, but are not limited to:

a. Visual arts collectives (e.g., collaborative painters, sculptors, photographers, digital artists)

b. Performing arts groups (e.g., dance troupes, theatre companies, music ensembles)

c. Interdisciplinary and experimental art groups (e.g., multimedia, public art, cross-genre initiatives)

d. Craft and traditional arts associations (e.g., artisan cooperatives, indigenous artist networks)

e. Creative industry networks focused on collaborative artistic production

This indicator recognises the role of independent artistic collaboration in fostering cultural and artistic creation.
