Definition and Methodology

This indicator measures the total number of Grants-supported arts or cultural events that specifically promote, celebrate, or raise awareness of Roma culture. A Roma cultural event can be defined as a gathering or activity that showcases the traditions, artistic expressions, heritage, or social practices of Roma communities. These may include, but are not limited to:

a. Performing arts such as Roma music concerts, dance performances, or theatre based on Roma narratives;

b. Visual arts exhibitions featuring Roma artists or themes;

c. Literary events such as Roma storytelling, poetry readings, or book launches;

d. Film screenings or festivals highlighting Roma experiences or creators;

e. Heritage events celebrating Roma history, language, or traditional practices;

f. Craft and design exhibitions focused on Roma artisanal traditions;

g. Cross-cultural or interdisciplinary events featuring Roma contributions;

h. Educational and community-based cultural initiatives involving Roma participation and leadership.

This indicator supports efforts to promote cultural diversity.
