Annual number of visitors to restored or revitalised cultural heritage sites
Definition and Methodology
Total number of people who visit cultural heritage sites that have undergone restoration or revitalization efforts with Grants' support within a calendar year. This indicator helps assess the impact of heritage conservation on tourism, cultural engagement, and local economic development.
Visitor counting methods include ticketing systems, electronic people counters at entry points, and mobile and GPS data analysis (aggregated data from tourism apps or mobile service providers).
This indicator must have a baseline value (reference point before the programme starts) and is then to be calculated every year of the implementation period once the works have been completed and up until the submission final programme report to allow long running projects to report a full calendar year of results.
