CUL-003

Number of cultural heritage sites restored or revitalised with participation from persons in vulnerable situations and from disadvantaged areas

Low Cumulative number Customizable

Definition and Methodology

This indicator measures the number of cultural heritage sites whose restoration or revitalisation processes actively involved diverse groups—such as women, cultural minorities, persons in vulnerable situations, and individuals from disadvantaged areas such as segregated neighbourhoods or settlements (defined as geographically and socially isolated areas predominantly inhabited by Roma or other groups from marginalised backgrounds, where residents experience limited or unequal access to essential public services, inadequate housing and infrastructure, and restricted opportunities for social and economic integration and cultural life). Participation may include roles in planning, consultation, implementation, or community engagement activities.

The indicator reflects efforts to promote inclusive participation in cultural heritage projects.

This indicator can be customised by participating target group (e.g. women, youth, individuals from deprived or segregated neighbourhoods, etc.).
