Number of cultural heritage sites restored or revitalised
Definition and Methodology
Total number of cultural heritage sites that have undergone restoration or revitalization efforts with Grants' support. These efforts aim to preserve, rehabilitate, or enhance the historical, architectural, and cultural significance of the sites.
Restored relates to building renovations, and revitalised is more about the experience of the site (audio tour, events, historical context, etc.).
Restoration includes but is not limited to: structural repairs to conserve historical integrity; conservation of original materials, artwork, or architectural elements; and stabilization of deteriorating structures.
Revitalization includes but is not limited to: improvement of site accessibility, visitor facilities, or educational programmes; and integration into local tourism or cultural activities.
