CRI-001

Number of inter-agency cooperation mechanisms on serious and organised crime established or functional

Low Cumulative number Customizable

Definition and Methodology

This indicator captures the total number of formal inter-agency cooperation mechanisms—such as protocols, agreements, or specialised task forces—either newly established or currently functional in the Grants supported areas (at national level). These mechanisms aim to coordinate efforts among multiple agencies in the prevention, investigation, or prosecution of serious and organised crime (e.g., drug trafficking, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, cybercrime, sexual exploitation and abuse of children).

A mechanism is considered:

a. Established when it has been formally created and documented, for instance through an official agreement or protocol.

b. Functional when it is actively operational, with documented evidence of ongoing inter-agency coordination, meetings, or joint activities.

This indicator can be customised by type of serious and organised crime.
