Number of prisoners benefitting from rehabilitation programmes
Definition and Methodology
Total number of prisoners, irrespective of gender, who have participated in a rehabilitation programme supported by the Grants. This should include prisoners who have (1) enrolled in, (2) participated in, and (3) completed or partially completed a rehabilitation programme. A rehabilitation programme can be defined as a structured programme that aims to support prisoner reintegration, such as vocational training, educational courses, substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, or life skills workshops.
Should the programme targets a particularly group, this indicator should be customised by target group, as follows:
Number of female prisoners benefitting from rehabilitation programmes
Number of juvenile prisoners benefiting from rehabilitation programmes
If programme targets the overall prison population, this indicator can be disaggregated by self-reported gender (in non-binary terms): female / male / other / prefer not to say. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
