Number of regional civil society initiatives contributed to by the Fund Operator (as co-organiser/participant)
Definition and Methodology
This indicator measures the total number of regional civil society initiatives in which the Fund Operator plays a contributing or supporting role (as co-organiser or participant), rather than serving as the reporting Fund Operator for that initiative.
Each initiative should involve: at least two Fund Operators from different Beneficiary States, or cooperation between a Fund Operator and Donor Contact Point(s), or cooperation between a Fund Operator and another EEA/Norwegian Financial Mechanisms Programme Operator within the same Beneficiary State.
Regional civil society initiatives are activities that contribute to the objectives of the Civil Society Fund (CSF) by promoting regional exchange and networking, strengthening the civil society sector across Beneficiary States, and facilitating knowledge-sharing, mutual learning, and the adoption of good practices.
Examples include: organising joint regional projects or events; hosting regional knowledge exchange, networking, or advocacy initiatives; coordinating regional strategies, reports, or capacity-building activities.
To avoid double-counting, each regional civil society initiative should be reported once under the indicator “Number of regional civil society initiatives organised by the Fund Operator (as reporting FO)”—by the Fund Operator designated as the reporting FO—while all other participating Fund Operators may record their involvement under this indicator.
