Proportion of individuals from minorities and groups that are marginalised in senior staff roles in the supported CSOs
Definition and Methodology
This indicator refers to the percentage of senior staff positions in supported CSOs that are occupied by individuals from minorities and groups that are marginalised, including young people [aged 15 to 24 years], self-reported LGBTIQ+ people, migrants and refugees, and self-reported Roma people.
This is calculated as: (Number of individuals from minorities and groups that are marginalised in senior roles / Total number of senior staff roles) x 100
Senior staff roles include key leadership or management positions within the organisation that have significant decision-making authority or strategic influence. This varies depending on the size and structure of an organisation but can include:
a. Executive Directors or Deputy Directors
b. Programme Directors or Managers
c. Heads of Departments
Women and board members do NOT count in this indicator as other indicators track these.
Self-reported means that this information should be provided directly and voluntarily by individuals, based on their personal understanding and preference, rather than being inferred, assumed, or assigned by others. This ensures that the data reflects each person's authentic identity. The option ''prefer not to say' should always be offered. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
