Proportion of self-reported women in senior staff roles in the supported CSOs
Definition and Methodology
This indicator refers to the percentage of senior staff positions in supported CSOs that are occupied by individuals who self-identify as women. This is calculated as: (Number of women in senior roles / Total number of senior staff roles) x 100
Senior staff roles include key leadership or management positions within the organisation that have significant decision-making authority or strategic influence. This varies depending on the size and structure of an organisation but can include:
a. Executive Directors or Deputy Directors
b. Programme Directors or Managers
c. Heads of Departments
Board members do NOT count in this indicator as another indicator tracks this.
Self-reported means that this information should be provided directly and voluntarily by individuals, based on their personal understanding and preference, rather than being inferred, assumed, or assigned by others. This ensures that the data reflects each person's authentic identity. The option ''prefer not to say' should always be offered. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
