This indicator refers to the percentage of of board members in supported CSOs who self-identify as women. Together with the metric on individuals from minorities and groups that are marginalised in the board of supported organisations, this metric is used to assess diversity and inclusivity in the leadership structures of these organisations.

The board refers to the formal governing or decision-making body of the organisation responsible for its strategic direction, oversight, and accountability.

This percentage is calculated as: (Number of women in the board / Total number of board members) x 100.

Self-reported means that this information should be provided directly and voluntarily by individuals, based on their personal understanding and preference, rather than being inferred, assumed, or assigned by others. This ensures that the data reflects each person's authentic identity. The option ''prefer not to say' should always be offered. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
