This indicator measures the total number of new or continued partnerships, alliances, coalitions, or networks established between supported CSOs and other entities (e.g., government agencies, international organisations, businesses, other CSOs, Universities, media outlets, or community groups) within the Beneficiary Country. It reflects the extent to which CSOs are collaborating with other stakeholders, both formally and informally, to advance shared goals, enhance impact, and strengthen their collective efforts. The indicator includes both formal partnerships (e.g., memorandums of understanding, contracts, or legal agreements) and informal partnerships (e.g., non-binding collaborations, alliances, coalitions, or networks that may involve joint actions, shared resources, or informal agreements to work together towards common objectives). New partnerships refer to collaborations established for the first time with Grants support. Continued partnerships refer to partnerships that have existed previously and are maintained or extended with Grants support.

This indicator can be customised by the FO, including based on programme priorities and country-specific focus areas, such as:

a. Number of new or strengthened alliances/networks between supported CSOs and community groups, religious organisations, ethnic minority groups, and educational institutions focused on promoting intercultural, interethnic, and/or interreligious understanding, dialogue, and inclusion.

b. Number of new or strengthened alliances/networks between supported CSOs, media outlets and educational institutions focused on promoting information integrity around the invasion of Ukraine.

c. Number of new or strengthened alliances/networks between supported CSOs, environmental groups, media outlets and educational institutions focused on climate action, environmental protection, and a just green transition.
