Definition and Methodology
Total number of businesses led by women that have received Grants' support, highlighting the programme's impact on promoting gender diversity and female entrepreneurship. Female-led businesses refer to businesses where at least one woman holds a key leadership role, which may include:
a. Majority ownership: A woman or women own at least 51% of the business.
b. Executive leadership: A woman serves as CEO, Managing Director, or equivalent top decision-maker (executive level manager).
c. Operational control: A woman has significant influence over business strategy and operations, even if ownership is shared.
The type of support can include financial assistance, technical support, training, mentoring, research and development (R&D) funding, or market access facilitation.
