Number of new or improved products or services ready for market
Definition and Methodology
Total number of new or significantly improved products or services developed by businesses that received Grant support and are ready for market introduction.
- New products or services are completely novel offerings that were not previously available in the market.
- Improved products or services refer to existing offerings that have been significantly enhanced in terms of quality, functionality, efficiency, or customer experience. The improvement must be substantial, not minor modifications.
Ready for market means that the product or service has reached a stage where it is fully developed and prepared for commercialisation. This includes having completed key development, testing, and validation processes, and being ready for launch, sale, or deployment, even if not yet generating revenue.
To be counted under this indicator, the product or service must:
- Be fully developed and market-ready (e.g. final prototype, validated solution, completed service design);
- Be in a position to be introduced to customers (e.g. launch-ready, with pricing, distribution, or delivery mechanisms defined), even if not yet actively sold.
Data sources may include project development and testing reports, prototype validation or certification evidence, business or marketing plans indicating readiness for launch, etc.
