Total count of new or significantly improved technological solutions or products by businesses. This includes:
a. New technologies: entirely novel technological products, systems, or solutions that did not previously exist. Examples include developing proprietary software, a new type of manufacturing equipment, or a groundbreaking AI-driven analytics tool.
b. Significantly improved technologies – Enhancements to existing technologies that introduce notable advancements in functionality, performance, efficiency, or applicability. Examples include upgrading a digital platform with advanced machine learning capabilities, enhancing a renewable energy solution to improve output, or refining a sensor technology for greater accuracy.
