Number of migrants assisted to return
Definition and Methodology
Total count of migrants who received assistance through Grants-funded interventions to support their return to their country of origin or another destination, in accordance with European or international standards. Migrants refer to individuals residing outside their country of origin who seek or need support to return home or to a different destination.
"Assisted to return" implies that these individuals were provided with services or resources funded by the Grants to facilitate their safe and dignified return, such as logistics, counseling, pre-departure aid, travel arrangements, or reintegration support, following protocols established by European Union and international bodies (such as the International Organisation for Migration).
Calculation method: avoid double counting of individuals who benefitted from multiple services.
If your programme targets women, consider making this indicator gender-specific. If not, this indicator should be disaggregated by self-reported gender (in non-binary terms): female / male / other / prefer not to say. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
