Number of jobs with improved working conditions
Definition and Methodology
This indicator measures the total number of jobs that have undergone significant enhancements in their working conditions thanks to Grants' support. Jobs refer to positions held by paid employees in the supported entities/organisations. Improved conditions refer to changes such as air/noise/light quality, safer workplaces, better wages and enhanced benefits, reduced working hours, improved security (e.g., prison staff), etc. Improvements must be measurable and documented, ensuring they align with predefined criteria for better working conditions.
If your programme targets women, consider making this indicator gender-specific. If not, this indicator should be disaggregated by self-reported gender (in non-binary terms): female / male / gender diverse / prefer not to say. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
METHODOLOGY
This indicator will be tracked through a work environment survey conducted by project promoters within their organisations.
The survey will assess changes in job quality, including working conditions such as safety, health, work-life balance, compensation, job security, professional development, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
An online, self-administered survey based on an FMO-provided template should be used for easy distribution and data collection (e.g., Google Forms, SurveyMonkey). Anonymity should be ensured to encourage honest feedback.
The survey should target all employees (or a representative sample) of supported entities and be conducted annually.
The Programme Operator/Fund Operator will aggregate results from all project promoters.
If your programme targets women, consider making this indicator gender-specific. If not, this indicator should be disaggregated by self-reported gender (in non-binary terms): female / male / other / prefer not to say. Please see the Guidance on the use of the core indicators library.
If your programme targets individuals/communities from deprived or segregated neighbourhoods/settlements, please use indicator ROM-002.
